John A. Clark papers
Scope and Contents
The John A. Clark papers (MC 40) contain visual information relating to his years at RPI and his work with the Norfolk and Western Railroad. The student drawing notebook includes exercises in machine drawing, stone cutting, perspective, etc. The photograph album displays faculty and classmates, as well as the interiors and exteriors of RPI buildings. The railroad photographs, the bulk of which are labeled, present vivid images of railroad, tunnel and bridge construction of the Norfolk and Western Railroad in Virginia.
