Charles W. Murdock papers
Scope and Contents
The Charles W. Murdock papers (MC 39) collection features project files from Murdock's work as a engineer specializing in ventilation and heating systems for highway tunnels. Files contain correspondence with contractors and machine manufacturers, specifications, graphs, plans, profiles, contract conditions, reports, and related materials. Holland and Lincoln Tunnel files appear to include Murdock's continued investigation and testing of these tunnels after his retirement. The papers also include a small group of reprints, journals, and catalogs relating to tunnels upon which Murdock worked, and ventilation systems in general.
