Roland A. Alven papers
Scope and Contents
The bulk of the Roland A. Alven papers (MC 66) collection consists of student lecture notes, examination report cards, and technical drawings, 1927-1930. Alven's work as a civil engineer is represented by Navy appointment letters, notes and drawings, along with information and lithographs of Crandall Dry Docks. A smaller portion of the Alven papers, provides insight into his Civil Engineering career with the Bureau of Yards & Docks, U.S. Navy between 1940 and 1965. Also included is a small amount of high school, college, alumni, and Tau Beta Pi Asssociation memorabilia, 1926-1966.
