Scope and Contents
This volume contains photographs, postcards, and magazine clippings of bridges from around the world. Many of the images of bridges do not convey outstanding fetes of engineering, but depict very simple wooden bridges created for ease of travel on foot in remote villages around the world. Various types of bridges are included within this volume and span approximately a thousand year period of civilization. The locations covered include: England, United States, Wales, Mexico, France, Italy, Russia, Poland, Canada, Scotland, India, Cuba, Himalayas, and Zambia.
