Correspondence, 1990-1995
Scope and Contents
Business correspondence detailing Pauline Oliveros Foundation operations mostly from Pauline Oliveros and Ione. Themes include edits to promotional materials, music distribution for catalog sales, financial transactions, programming, feedback on events, and employee turnover within the foundation. The 1993 folder contains a deed of gift from Pauline Oliveros to the New York Public Library for a collection of her papers. Correspondence from 1996 shows a transition to sharing information about the foundation via the internet. The 1998-1999 folder contains details on an internal issue around the use of grant funding and money received from Laurance S. Rockefeller. Email correspondence from Oliveros in 2000 shows a concern over the use of artist fees to float general operating costs among other dire financial issues and confusion over her role within the organization. Further organizational and staffing issues related to the general work culture can be found in the years 2000-2001 from emails by Ione.
