This small collection contains an autograph book with signatures collected by William H. Young, circa 1833 to 1892; one page of autographs from on board the U.S. steam frigate Niagara in 1857; and a memorial resolution from the RPI Board of Trustees following Young’s death in 1904.

Also included is Young's personal copy of Henry B. Nason's Biographical Record of the Officers and Graduates of the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, which was published by Young in 1887. The book is extra illustrated with photographs and engravings of men associated with the Institute. Several of the images are accompanied by autographs, and a few are accompanied by tipped-in letters from the image’s sender. Additional documents in the volume include newspaper clippings, tuition receipts signed by Young, and printed images of RPI.
