Detailed notes and design drawings covering every facet of bridge construction, such as masonry towers, foundations and caissons, cable design, machinery, iron anchors, etc. Also included in this series are records regarding a lawsuit brought by James Eads and patent inquiries for various methods and machinery used in the construction of the Brooklyn Bridge. Subjects are arranged alphabetically and patents are arranged chronologically.
