Scope and Contents

James Skilton was a founding member of the Brooklyn Ethical Association and remained active with the association until the time of his death. During his tenure with the association he collected news clippings, essays and lectures relative to the association. Correspondence, mainly between James and other notable members, such as Professor Huxley and Dr. Lyman Abbott is included in this series. The papers are arranged alphabetically.
