Warren, Stephen-Business correspondence, 1846, 1850
Scope and Contents
The Warren Family papers (MC 14) consist of small amounts of material belonging to three generations of the Warren family. The papers of Stephen Warren are largely related to his role as a director of the Rensselaer & Saratoga Railroad Co. Papers include correspondence related to the Schenectady & Troy Railroad, Saratoga & Washington Railroad and the Rensselaer & Saratoga Railroad Co. The papers of his son Joseph M. Warren consist of school papers and correspondence from family. Joseph M. Warren attended RPI c1830 and later attended Washington (Trinity) College in Hartford, CT. Letters from Joseph M. Warren to his son Walter Phelps Warren during Walter’s boarding school days are also included in this collection.
