Biographical Note
Lloyd Bauer attended Rensselaer Polytecnic Institute where he earned a degree in metallurgical engineering in 1955. He played ice hockey for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute under coach Ned Harkness during the mid-1950s, competing in both the 1953 and 1954 NCAA hockey championships in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The team won the latter tournament by defeating the Universty of Michigan (6-4) and University of Minnesota (5-4, in overtime).
