Biographical Note

J. Crosby Jordan Wilkin was born on February 25th, 1901, in Newburgh, New York. He was prepared at the Highland High School, and entered Rensselaer in 1920. He led an active student life, running on the class cross country and class track team, as well as the varsity track squad. He was also a member of the Civil Engineers Society. He graduated from Rensselaer in 1924 with a degree in Civil Engineering. After graduating, Wilkin worked as the Chief-of-Party for the Central Hudson Gas and Electric Corporation, in Poughkeepsie, NY, and then later worked as a self-employed land surveyor in Wallkill, NY. The dates of which he held these positions are unknown. On September 7th, 1953, Wilkin married Mary L., and the couple had four children; David, Jonathan, Nancy, and Joan. Wilkin died on August 10th, 1990. Unfortunately, there are no other records as to his career and life pursuits after he graduated from Rensselaer.
