Biographical Note

William MacIlhenny Wilkinson was born in Philadelphia, PA in February 8, 1888. His family, Irish immigrants, owned a feed store. Will graduated from Northeast Manual Training School. He then worked for M. Ward Easby, Inc. Easby, who graduated from R.P.I. in 1886, took an interest in Will and paid for his education at Rensselaer. Will graduated from R.P.I. in 1910 with a degree in civil engineering. Upon graduation, he returned to work for Mr. Easby and eventually took over the business after Easby's death in 1936. Will married Mary Yost in 1913 and they had a daughter, Alice, born in 1922. Mary died in 1953 and William married Lillie Shepard in 1957. William MacIlhenny Wilkinson died in 1974.
